MSNBC Hopes the New White Lady Won’t Act Like the Old White Man

If you’re gonna throw out the baby, throw out the racist and sexist bathwater with it. That’s MSNBC’s plan for Don Imus’ former morning show slot. Testing out next week’s airwaves will be Stephanie Miller, the liberal L.A. talk radio host (yes, she’s syndicated) and daughter of former Congressman William Miller. She begins Monday, and, according to someone with a vested interest in seeing her succeed, “the network is hoping to build Stephanie into a major face of the network.”

I do not think this will bring back many viewers that liked Imus and have stoped watching MSNBC because of there firing Imus most have found other News shows to watch until Don Imus gets his own show back. I see they are tring everything to get the viewers back but I do not think this is going to work.
I don’t think Miller is meant to draw Imus’ audience. Her radio show is pretty far from what Imus did. If Miller were made the major face of the network, it would be pursuing the Olbermann/Daily Show audience.
Absolutely fantastic. Finally some new blood. She’s creative, brilliant and funny.
Extremely entertaining! Comedy and politics together…watch out Comedy Central! Stephanie is great to watch and she’s actually giving me some political awareness of issues that I don’t even know about.
Watched some of Stephanie this A.M. I would definitely consider her as a strong replacement for Don Imus. I watched him each and every morning as did other family members and friends. We miss Imus and his colleagues. I would consider tuning in again for this personality
Caught millers show on cable’s msnbc this morning and liked it. Her diction kinda reminds me of butchy ann coulter’s delivery but her perspective happlily doesn’t…imus being ill was nearing the end of his string anyway. i kinda missed him till this morning when stephanie showed up. i’m hoping they keep her on. in case anyones interested. the dude that was on msnbc early morning last week didn’t do it for me.
What a horrible broadcast. I listened for all of ten minutes. The woman never stops yakking(we all want to wake up to a woman who can’t stop talking) wasn’t the least bit funny and made me long for Imus who at least knew how to pace a broadcast.
I’m back inasmuch as I failed to mention I enjoyed Miller’s fast pace. I enjoyed Imus and would have and did stick with him till the end. Unfortunate as it’s turned out. It was probably for the better. All the Imus Guys, save for Bernie and Lou, are old enough to collect social security. Like they really need to. Steph’s a breath of fresh youthful air. I’m betting most all who sound off here against Miller are register republicans and fear her influencing moderate thinking. There will be more of them show up here saying negative things against Miller whilst hiding their political persuasion. Be wary of those who post here and would do Steph’s show in for political reasons whilst claiming they don’t like her show or her for other reasons.
Best morning show on cable. Way better than Imus. Real rib tickling political wit on display, instead of the shocking & offensive albeit sometimes humorous material from Imus & Co.
Wow!!! Stephanie on MSNBC in the morning!!!!!! My dream has come true!! But now I have to get up earlier. She is funny, right on and won’t last because rich white males can’t stand it. But I will love the week. Go steff!!!!!
Wow, tennisnut, could your e-mail BE anymore sexist than it was?? Stephanie Miller is a smart and funny addition to MSNBC mornings (even if it is a temporary gig).
Stephanie is a wonderful mix of intellect and humor. I’m surprised and pleased that msnbc is giving her a shot.
And yeah, tennisnut, sorry but the world is changing and your sexist crap won’t cut it in modern times. Wake up.
