Murdoch to Start Mashing All Newscorp Copy into Giant Soup
Smells like Socialism

If you thought you were seeing double when reading about Citigroup's recent money trouble in The Wall Street Journal and New York Post, don't bother going to the optometrist quite yet. The two Newscorp publications ran the same story on November 29th, a practice that does not forebode great things for the writers and editors at the publication.

Not only does it create a problem of redundancies for writers (who needs the staff of two papers when you can use the staff of one?), but as proved by the Citigroup story, the interviewees might not know that their "exclusive" will be run in another paper…perhaps one that isn't so sympathetic to their cause.

And it’s uncertain whether Rubin would have sat for an interview with the Post, considering the paper has been hammering Citigroup in recent days — most notably, there was a harsh Tuesday editorial and “Citi of Fools” splashed across the wood.

The headline of the Post’s editorial makes the paper’s position clear: “Bounce These Bozo Bankers: Rubin & Co. Orchestrated the Fall of this Behemoth.”

For comparitive purposes (the only thing changed is the hed):
