Nas' New Album Is Guaranteed To Piss Off Almost Everyone*
*With The Possible Exception Of Al Sharpton

Nas makes a political statement (and, conceivably, an error in judgment) by titling his forthcoming album "Nigga." thereby preemptively alienating his largely Caucasian fanbase and rendering its name unpronounceable to prep school gangstas across the country. [Stereohyped]

I feel that this title is highly degrading. How can anyone purchase a album with such a name. Nas is a disgrace to the black community.

Why are y'all zoomed in on the word when it's the lyrics you need to focus on. He's taking the power out of the word and at the same time will educate you. This is brilliant. "Nigger" will be a classic CD. If some of you are old enough to go back through the times with the God, you'll understand he has a reason for his this. What we need to focus on are the lyrics of other rappers talkin about "genocide". He's about uplifting so you just better be ready cause i am. yeah I'm a black 31 year old male with knowledge of self. and have no issue with this. so stop with the pre-judgements or the prejudicialness open your minds and listen to some lyrics and stop waiting for the hook

So you sayin a nigga can't call his album nigga, but he can say nigga 300 times in the album? Doesn't make sense. I'm buying the album. Nas is the greatest poet of our time and I will continue to listen to his greatness. Plus it's not like it hasn't been done before. N.W.A (Niggaz Wit Attitude) had an album called Niggaz4Life. What's the difference?

Its guarenteed to please all his fans actually, all his true fans anyway! Nas is a ledgend and has written more than enough complete tunes to justify the album title which by the way isn't spelt with just an A at the end.

The problem with a rapper naming their CD "Nigga" is that people who does not listen to hip-hop, does not support hip-hop, and does not understand hip-hop, will think this is the utmost garbage! I recommend that the Nas AND the record label DO NOT bring out the CD titled "Nigga" because it will simply go down in history as one of the most derogative things accomplished by the black man. WE need more positivity in our music.

Are you all blind? Nas is one of the greatest hip hop lyricists…so you're not shocked when weak emcees like 50 Cent are using the N word, but you are shocked when Nas is using it as an album title?

The N word is degrading in a white person's mouth, but anybody who has lived in a black ghettos knows that black persons are using it freely…stop being such hypocrites…please

i guess. hes just trynna get attention on it.
and have something actually eciting come out.
everythings been boring and the same.
hes trynna get the actual respect he needs.
also if this cd isnt good then ill be dissapointed.
when he was younger i was actually more into him.
but now as he gets older im not that into him.
becuase if u actually paid attention to him, hes changed, more grown up and kind of more commercialized.
just like jayz so to tell u the truth i dont care to much about jayz anymore. hes gotten more into the commercial life to get the money. i guess money is addictive!
so i guesssssssssss! if this dosent work out then he should make better one. and if not then his caree is over. lol no worries cuz if u where a real hiphop head then u'd know hip hops not dead.

Nas is one of the greatest rappers alive. he has produced albums that have changes kids minds weather is the way they live or how they conduct themselves. I trust Nas he has been in the game for a while and he knows where this ablum is gonna put him ON THE TOP. there will be many people featured on this album suck as Jay-z who let me remind you is the american gangster. For those who dont listen to rap or hip-hop listen to nas listen to the words he speaks. you will understand why this album will change history. to those who are boycotting this album keep it to yourself let those decide weather or not to buy the ablum.

are you fucking kidding stop with all this bullshit. Every rapper around uses the word nigga… i repeat.. EVERY RAPPER. So if there is no issue with that then how could you possibly have an issue with Nas' album title. Because everyone else will think this or that. That's ridiculous. The man is trying to say some real shit about racism and human interaction in America. The only thing wrong with the name of this album are the people trying to act like it is so horrible. Grow the fuck up and realize. The word is not going to go away. Desensitizing it is good.

CopDaAlbum said the smartest thing I've heard regarding this CD. He can't call his CD Nigger but he can say it a million times on the disc. Enough said. Buy it. If you're disagreeing with it, you don't understand Nas and you just started listening to his music. He always speaks his mind without giving a fuck, but it's not to piss you off as much as it is a lesson. The word exists, why run from it. You can't! It just makes so much sense to me why he's naming it this.

Some white American's won't like it, because the term "nigger" is something their ancestors created and some of them use. Some black American's won't like it, because they feel the have come too far to go back and face the term. I think Nas is brilliant. My interpretation of all the happenings are one of revolution through blatancy, because this word is still used and because prejudices still exist.
