New Kids on the Boat (Boo)

Well hmm…on the one hand, it's hard to count New Kids on the Block's comeback as the type of celebrity status that would be hard to fall from. These guys are trying to cash in after a decade+ of irrelevance, so the fact that they have been reduced to doing cruise ship tours isn't one of those "Look how far they've fallen" things, so much as it's a "Good for them to have a steady source of income" things. On the other hand:

The image of Donnie Wahlberg eating cold lobster waldorf salad on a three-day Carnival cruise while popping Dramamine and hating hating his younger brother for being so successful is just the most depressing thing in the world. Seriously, more depressing than Darfur (not quite).

Reduced ? are you serious? Their shows have been selling out in 6 minutes. This is a GIFT from them, a way to connect to their fans. To be able to be on a cruise ship with them and watch them perform for 3 days. I feel honored that they would take the time to do it. They all have lives and some are married. This is the most amazing thing in the world. I know that the fans who can afford to go will be on cloud 9. Nkotb may have been gone for a while, but I know of thousands of women who have WAITED for the day they returned. and we are all just as supportive now as we were back then. You should listen to the music with an open mind and quit being so judgemental.

I agree with Nina! Even if NKOTB were a group that I didn't like, which they aren't, I wouldn't hate on them for what they are doing. Depressing as Darfur? Poor attempt at humor. If anything they're laughing all the way to the bank, and if that puts a burr in your saddle, I'm sure they don't care! I could say more, but why hate on you? I'm above it.

John Mayer has already done a cruise so what does that mean about him? Last I heard, he wasn't washed up.
