New Observer Glossy Launches Pink Fight With WSJ.
Because the magazine industry is booming right now

Industry hottie Jared Kushner didn't even have the decency to wait one day after his people snarked up a review of WSJ., the new glossy from the Wall Street Journal, before pulling a hat trick and yanking a New York Observer glossy from out of his ass:

Observer Style will launch Nov. 16, and the paper is already taking the necessary potshots at the industry hand that feeds them. Jenna Hollander-Essig moves from her position as fashion director at the Observer to work on the new drop of water in an ocean of drowning fashion mags. But don't worry, she has a game plan: "Past magazines have been crappy advertorials, saddle stitched together…this is our first editorially driven magazine.” Oh, and they are gunning for New York as their chief editorial opponent — the home turf of advertising posing as editorial.

Just learn one lesson: Serve only coffee or tea when rolling the thing out to the media OR WE WILL NOT PAY ATTENTION.
