New York Times Mag Self-Plagiarizes, Sort of

Look familiar? The cover of this week's New York Times magazine seems a little deja-vu-y, it's because an article with essentially the same title ran in the Times in November 2007. Both articles are entitled (more or less) "My Genome, My Self" and are navel-gazing looks into the Human Genome Project. (Read: But what does my biological code say about me finding the perfect boyfriend?)

It's amazing that this went undetected during the pitching sessions (the articles were written by two different writers at least), and even more amazing that it took a blogger, not an editor, to realize the mistake.
