Papers like the New York Observer already allow advertising on their covers — so why not the more free-wheeling realm of tabloids? This week's In Touch – Bauer Publishing's cousin to Life & Style, which has its own ads-on-the-cover story – turned over its back cover to Chip's Ahoy, which mocked up a typically sensational cover for its product, complete with In Touch's logo.
