Not All Video Sharing Sites Appreciate Your Version of Self-Expression
Everyone's a critic

Sex kitten Rachel Kramer Bussel, who writes for publications with "Pent" and "house" in their titles, tried exploiting this whole web video thing everybody is talking about to promote the erotic book Spanked that she's editing. So she uploaded a promo teaser to four video sharing sites: Vimeo, Flickr, YouTube, and Blip. In the clip, Bussel shows you just what to expect inside the pages of Spanked, namely, spankings — with books, rulers, hands, frat paddles, and even a copy of Spanked. If the book doesn't move on Nielsen BookScan's charts, at least it'll be an example in the standards policies of each of the sites.

Within hours of its posting, both Vimeo and Flickr had the clip removed. Flickr, because the video was too racy; and Vimeo, because it might be both porn and commercial content. Dumping grounds YouTube and Blip, meanwhile, still have the clip online. They will be thanked in Spanked's follow-up.

What an incredibly stupid p.r. move. Who's advising this woman? STUPID! You don't post questionable content to family-friendly video posting sites–that's pretty simple, and pretty understandable. The video sharing sites should sue. And this woman needs to understand that probably about 99 percent of the general population could care less about "spanking" and S&M practices, which to this day, some psychologists label as dangerous, destructive and questionable behavior. Give it up.

Umm… grow a clue, "thefrontpage". YouTube has a setting for each video that flags it as mature content, and there was no nudity in the video. And as far as "some psychologists label as dangerous", "some" is not "all", or even "a majority". "Some psychologists" also still think homosexuality can be cured, and "some psychologists" still believe in discredited practices like "rebirthing". So if you don't like spanking, don't do it and don't watch videos (or read books) that feature it. But leave the judgmental crap elsewhere. Like FOX News or something.

She is possibly the unsexiest woman I've ever seen in my entire life. Why does she look like a deer caught in headlights? Sex kitten my ass.
Regardless, complaining about Vimeo removing her video turned out to be a great PR movie.

Congrats, ugly.

Mona:

Probably you're one of those that watch Miss Universe as if you were watching a bad car crash. But the problem here does not lie on her look but the how far did this video goes. I would love to see your photo in a short dress and see how sexy/unsexy you are.

The Front Page:

That's a bunch of crock. I bet that either you were spanked too much or too little. Like dausa said, many of those sites have parental control for over 18 and seen plenty of foreign with even more questionable content than this. Most of the psychologist say is pure crap, their only motivation is to sell pills and make money out of other people's insecurities.

Otherwise, we would not have comments like Mona's and yours.

QED.

Isn't it always the way that when someone, ahem Mona, has nothing whatsoever intelligent to say they resort to personal insults. So junior high school.

Rachel's blog is great, as are several of her websites. Sex Kitten extraordinaire in my eyes and heart. Her cupcakes will bring me and msot red-blooded men (and women) to the yard anytime. Her writing and editing is honest and clever and eye-opening.
Read her books, read her blog, read her articles. It is absolutely fantastic stuff. She has a great heart and mind.
I only know her from the web, but sex, cupcakes and New York will always be RKB and FunkyBrownChick to me… Her and FunkyBrownChick put a smile on my face on the roughest days.
Puritanical folks, prudes and novices truly are missing out on some great treats in life. RKB can give us a tour of all those treats better than most. I can't wait for my copy of the book.
The promo video is super tame. This is the Internet… Wake up folks — each to their own taste and desires.

I agree with Tess.

I bet Mona is a pimple-faced H.S boy who masturbates to the underwear section of the Sears Sunday insert….sad.

You are so sexy Rachael, and the book will be awesome like your others.

I don't think I will ever understand or become used to how people feel so free to insult others they do not know, other than the fact it is on the internet.
Mona, how does Rachel's looks have anything to do with the content of this story?
Your remarks come across as very childish.

just saw this over on facebook, and watched the video, which is pretty cute, and then read all this stuff above, which is all fine and covered under the say whats on your mind thing, but seriously Mona, Rachel is the unsexiest woman you've ever seen in your entire life? Have you ever left your apartment? Have you ever left your drawer? Have you ever seen a picture of Jennifer Anniston? You really need (need) to get out more…those magazines you've been reading since back before prom, they're starting to get kinda stale. Really. Come on out. The outside world takes a little getting used to, but I think you'll make it. And Rachel…you're hot, but you know I've always though so!
