When watching this clip of Bill Maher ejecting some crazy protesters from the set of Politically Incorrect whatever his HBO show is called, we can't decide which part was our favorite. The incensed Maher yelling, "Hey do we have some fucking security?" and "Is is that hard to throw somebody out of a building?" are both strong early contenders, but those gems are quickly usurped by the ensuing, "Or do I have to kick this guy's ass outta here?"
Ultimately, however, we've decided to go with, "This isn't the Iowa caucus. Okay? It's not a debate. It's a debate between us. You're in the audience, okay? Audience comes from the Latin, "to listen."
Not because it's the funniest per se but rather because it's exactly the sort of elitist pseudo-intellectual tripe you'd expect from someone who hosts a lowbrow political debate show and then goes home and sleeps with strippers.
Meanwhile, an Honorable Mention goes to panelist (and LAT columnist) Joel Stein for interjecting, "They won't chant 'Jerry' for you, though?" in the midst of all the commotion.

And what does Bill Maher's sleeping with strippers have to do with what he does on his show?
Project much? Pointing out that an audience's role as listeners is so much the definition of "audience" as to be embedded in its etymology seems like the exact opposite of pseudo-intellectual tripe. It seems like a salient, intellectually well-supported point, succinctly and extemporaneously made. Is that something you've ever managed to do even once in your life?
It would be prudent not to directly critique
someone like Maher. Maher is intelligent, while you're an idiot. Journalism used to mean something,
keeping an audience or readers requires ambivalence at times. Allow the reader to think for themselves, instead of injecting derogatory folderol into the article. I'm sure if you had a live television show broadcasting in real-time and a heckler incessantly interrupted, you would be livid as well. Fortunately you do not have a television show, because you are a loser.
