While the New York Times is busy touting a new corrections policy and pretending to apologize to Geraldo Rivera, perhaps they should just stick to correcting their copy errors, a la the AP.
Those 45 newsroom job cuts aren't helping matters either. From Monday's "Church's Mass Resumes With 'Homecoming Bell for New Orleans'":

The scariest part: It was a j-schooler, not a NYT copy editor (obviously), who spotted these errors.
(Please don't take this item as raison d'etre for pointing out our typos. We've got interns, not copy editors.)
