While you are waiting for Notorious to hit theaters, there is another dead iconic rapper whose full history is only now coming to light.

Ol' Dirty Bastard, best known for his single "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" (at least in my mind) died of a drug overdose in 2004, well before the courts could lock him away for good, despite various assault on gun arrests. Now in an upcoming bio called Digging for Dirt, author Jaime Lowe got O.J.'s lawyer Robert Shapiro to spill the beans on ODB's (né Russell Tyrone Jones) possible mental disorders based on his court behavior.

"(ODB would) talk in jive talk" and "come into court with two different shoes, labels with price tags attached . . . It's possible his behavior was a result of mental illness. One time he had his hat on backward, had on two different shoes, and he stood with his back to the judge with his hat facing the judge as if he was looking at the judge."

Um, that is not mental illness. That's just being super-high and pretty ingenious.
