While his U.S.-version of OK! swings its pendulum to the positive (for now, anyway), Richard Desmond has another reason to celebrate: His British OK! just beat Hello! in a court, where his tabloid triumphed in a battle over Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones' wedding photos.
If you're just joining us: Back in 2000, OK! bought the exclusive rights to publish the Douglas-Zeta-Jones wedding, only to see Hello! run pics from the wedding after they sneaked someone in posing as a wedding guest and armed with a camera. The court case, heard in London, concluded Eduardo Sanchez Junco's Hello violated OK!'s confidentiality, but not that they hurt their business.

So what's this mean for the future of exclusive celeb photos? Perhaps it'll make rival tabloids more wary to infringe on the exclusive agreements of other tabs, given Hello!'s need to pay damages for its actions. Or they'll carry on their merry way, as they've been doing for years, knowing the sales boost from outselling their rival will more than make up for any court-mandated fee.
