Oprah Is the Biggest Celebrity In the World, But Is She Ready to Lead?

1) The Secret
2) Barack Obama
3) Self Worth
4) Tom Cruise
Guess which one might end up president because of the benevolence of the richest woman in the world?
A study by two economists at the University of Maryland has shown a correlation between Winfrey's first-ever political endorsement and a quantifiable million vote boost for Obama during the primaries.
Then again, The Oprah also delivered a quantifiable boost for a one James Frey, and that caused a different sort of mob to show up.

But when Oprah heard James Frey exaggerated the amount of time he spent in jail, she had the courage, brains and integrity to drag him & publisher Nan Talese on live TV for the most entertaining public spanking I have ever witnessed. So at least we know that if an Oprah endorsed person dares to lie to her audience, she'll make damn sure they're held accountable with a good ol' fashion public spanking. That alone makes me confident Obama wouldn't dare lead us in the wrong direction.
No one even watches Oprah anymore and if anyone follows or believes what she says and makes a choice based on her choices you need your head examined. Just look at her and her whole diet issue. The woman puts out diet books and yet weighs close to 250lbs most of her life. GMAB. Oprah's the biggest scam put upon the American public by anyone. She's laughing all the way to the bank
If no one watches Oprah anymore why did her latest book club pick A NEW EARTH just sell FOUR MILLION copies and how did she rake in $385 million this year? Why did Forbes just name her the most powerful celeb on the planet for the second straight year? Most celebs (even really big celebs) don't earn $385 million in a life time, and Oprah earned that just this year. This is a woman who came from poverty to become the richest African American of all time and the most influential woman in the planet. THAT'S why people listen to her. Why wouldn't you listen to her? It's the people who DON'T listen to her that need their heads examined.
Because she own a production studio you moron and that includes syndication through HARPO/King World. You think the American public listens to Oprah? OMG. Yeah that's why her ratings have bottomed out. Puleeeze

Ahem, you'd be surprised by how many people listen to Oprah. Her ratings might be down but her income is WAY UP! The entire market is down because of competition form the specialty channels and the web. Oprah's still #1, and Oprah's Dr. Phil is still #2. My mom and sister watch Oprah religously, read all the books she selects and even became hardcore Obama groupies when she endorsed him. So when you insult Oprah fans, you're insulting my family, and when you insult my family, you insult me.
