When you're a live TV show, it can sometimes be hard to keep potential indecencies off the air. Like when Jane Fonda goes on the Today show and says "cunt."
But if you're a taped TV show, you go through rounds and rounds of editing before a final product is considered ready for the small screen. It might be assumed, then, that after editors and producers watched a clip for the umpteenth time, they would've caught anything that would set off the censors. But not on Survivor: Gabon, the CBS reality series' 17th season, which is the setting for the hottest inter-orientation romance between a gay guy (Charlie Herschel) and a straight guy (Marcus Lehman).
And it's Marcus who managed to slip past the censors when, like Janet Jackson, he experienced a wardrobe malfunction when his penis slipped out of his boxer shorts during a run on the show's first episode. And then it went on TV. And, of course, that's upset the screaming queens at the Parents Television Council, who, of course, have filed an indecency complaint, claiming the manhood exhibition was not just "shocking" but also "purposeful." Idiots.

Actually, the Council has a valid point: Who wants to see this on prime-time television, and no one really believes the censor "missed" this. Come on. This really could have been cut, no pun intended. There's no place for this on prime-time television, and all it would have taken is a bit of smart editing. Additionally, beyond all that, it's far past the time for CBS to mercifully put a needed end to this stupid "game" show that never, really, should have continued past the third outing. It's old, it's tired, it's stupid, it's amazingly stupid, it's crass, it's dumb, it's more stupid, and it's an offense to television and broadcasting in general. It should have been taken off the air 14 "seasons" ago. CBS: Do the right thing. Cancel "Survivor" once and for all. As for Probst, he could probably find work in Ryan Seacrest's empire.

Let's put this in perspective….the video they have above is zoomed in. As it aired, he was much further away and unless you were looking for it, you didn't see it. I had no idea until I saw something about it on another website. The editors at Survivor are not new at this, so it was probably just an oversight!

This happened a long time ago on the "Cook Islands" season. Ryan O's dick slipped out. I bet the reason why the editors missed it is because they're all straight men, who don't even bother to look down there.

Seriously … this is a non-issue. I just finished watching the finale last night and this is the first I'm hearing about it. I don't know why it's such a big deal since the majority of watchers never saw it.
