Press Release Parade: Be the next greatest band babysitter

Project Runway is through, and now we've got Bravo reality follow-up Top Chef and ABC's American Inventor (because Simon Cowell cannot be reduced to only having programming on Fox). But that's not enough contest programming on primetime, now is it?

Thankfully, there's Above The Line — a search for the next great music video director, the winner of which will surely be placed in such high esteem as David LaChappelle and, uhm, well that's the only music video director we know off hand.

The reality show, “Above The Line: The Search For America’s Next Music Video Director” (www.nextmvdirector.com) is conducting a nationwide search to find the next directing phenom.

“Above The Line” pits two teams of seven potential directors against each other in a series of production-related challenges for the ultimate prize of shooting a big-budget music video for a major artist and signing a year-long director representation contract with a well-known production company. Each episode will feature a prominent guest music video director and a fresh new artist on a major label.

Record label tie-ins that will rival the short-lived Love Monkey? Our TiVo can't wait.

The full release – with explanatory details on how you might be able to get your work aired at 2am on Fuse – after the jump.
