the audacity of hope gains momentum

Mr. Obama’s triumphs capped a week in which he went undefeated in states across the country, in many cases by big margins, over Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York.

And his strength on Tuesday sliced across nearly every major demographic line, with one element standing out: in Virginia and Maryland, according to surveys of voters leaving the polls, he beat Mrs. Clinton among women.

The sheer consistency of Mr. Obama’s victories over the last few days certainly suggests that many Democratic voters have gotten past whatever reservations they might have had about his electability or his qualifications to be president. …

He now enjoys a big financial advantage. Her big lead in national polls is gone. By most counts, Mr. Obama can now claim more delegates pledged to him. He has won far more states than Mrs. Clinton, although she won some of the big prizes, like California and New Jersey.

We had freezing rain here yesterday, so most people didn't bother to go vote. The polls were kept open 90 minutes later than usual, and those ballots are provisional; I like Obama but I want to see the full numbers before declaring victory for anyone.

Loving the way Obama has adopted Bob the Builder's slogan…(Can we Build It?) YES WE CAN!

I went to law school with Obamarama and I specifically remember that as president of the law review (which is just a popularity contest) he just sat on his bony ass for an entire year and did nothing…which was exemplary of his do-nothing attitude for seven years in the Illinois Senate and three years in the U.S. senate (where he passed a single bill of no importance on aid to africa). How can he be an agent of change when he is the most liberal senator in the u.s. senate and he has a record of doing nothing?

I am a democrat but know that McCain is going to crush him.

If the media outlets starting questioning Sen. Obama as they have Sen. Clinton, he would crumble. Last week on Today, Meredith Vieria bared her claws to Sen. Clinton while Matt Lauer thanked Sen. Obama numerous times for appearing on the show. He has had a free ride, and lest anyone think the press is going to be able to question him if he wins, think again, I see race cards flying all over the place, if not from him, from the masses. Whoopi Goldberg claims people will be racist but it will be veiled, so therefore, no matter what is said or asked of him, it will be viewed as a racist remark, a veiled racist remark, haters, et al. Think Dinkins' administration in New York on a larger scale. It was a disaster for his reign and this will be worse.
