Besides Neil Patrick Harris being the best thing ever on SNL this weekend, the cold open with Rachel Maddow, Roland Burris, and Rod Blagojevich was pretty hysterical too. (When did SNL get all these funny chicks? You lose one Amy Poehler and get Michaela Watkins and Abby Elliot in her stead.) And apparently the audience wasn't the only ones who thought so: Rachel Maddow Tweeted her response to a joke calling her Chachi from Happy Days (she sees herself as way more of a Mr. Cunningham…but "so grateful to not be Potsie.")

Uhmm…you're kidding right? I guess it could be funny if you don't watch TRMS, or know anything about the Blagojevich. Maybe funny if you don't know anything about gays and have been living under a rock for the past decade or so.
Count the number of funny lines delivered by the fake Rachel Maddow and compare it to the number of funny lines the real Rachel Maddow would say in a funny segment on TRMS. I mean, if you're going to impersonate someone that is already funny…you should make them…you know…at least as funny.
If I were Maddow, I would feel about as good after this sketch as Sara Palin would feel after a Teena Fey sketch.
@Michelle: In that sketch, Rachel Maddow wasn't supposed to be the funny one. Playing off of nutjobs like Burris and Blagojevich, this Rachel was the straight man (pun intended).
OK Now its time for the real Rachel Maddow to step up and Host SNL……Cmon girl you will rock everyone's Saturday night…When is it I know its already in the works..
