Remembering the Man That Details' New Publisher Is

When Details publisher Chris Mitchell moved over to take the spot at Wired, it opened up the gig at Dan Peres' magazine. Filling the spot is Steve DeLuca, currently the associate publisher at Condé Nast Traveler. But remember when he was the publisher of Rolling Stone, and then ousted in 2006? Let's take a trip down memory lane, which includes more than a little job-costing spat with Jann Wenner. It involves Asian women, a small organ, and a tattoo.

Back in May 2006, a source informed us: "Steve DeLuca, acquired a rather large red dragon tatoo on his groin. It’s rather appropriate considering his fetish for Asian women but could quite possible be a diversion for anyone noticing his extremely small penis."

And that came after this February 2006 report: "Some say [DeLuca was fired] because the advertising numbers for the upcoming 1000th issue didn’t look high enough … some say it is also in part due to the fact that he couldn’t stop using his position to bed every Asian chick who crossed his path (or at least trying)."
