As we do our best to avoid All Things Anna Nicole, one peculiar incident has perked our interest. It's no secret that Entertainment Tonight and The Insider have beaten this story to, ahem, death, but MSNBC's Rita Cosby has also been on the beat. And perhaps she's been going at it a little too hard.
A report from ETonline.com about the private gathering at the Villa Florentine after Anna's funeral – where ET cameras were the only ones allowed inside! – called out Cosby for being booted from the affair because she wasn't on Howard K. Stern’s guest list (as ICN fills in). The quote from the article is:
At one point in the reception, MSNBC's RITA COSBY — a guest of Virgie's — allegedly snuck into the affair, but was quickly escorted out.
Except you'd be hard pressed to find that quote again — as it's been removed from the story. The only way we happened upon it was via ETonline.com's search feature.
Looks like there was one hurried call from one pissed off MSNBC publicist.
Rita DID make it onto ET last night though…the "last minute news" teaser was her being escorted out of the reception. So it may not be in the transcript, but it did make it on air.
Knowing Rita Cosby for years, she never sneeks in anywhere. She is a professional and she was invited to the event. The real question here is, why is Entertainment Tonight getting away with buying these rights anyway? The will has not been probated so Howard K. Stern has no rights till the will is proven legit and hes named in charge. Why did they let him get away with this. Virgie and Birkhead had every right to invite who they wanted. Entertainment and the Insider have become sleezy outfits that pay money for death. Howard K. Stern has made millions off the death of Daniel and Anna. This guy is the worse sleeze I have ever seen in this business, and I've been in it 25 years.

The trashy and biased way Entertainment Tonight and The Insider have portrayed the Mother of this deceased Woman stuns me. Bonnie Stern announcing, with venom of the darkest of places, "I told Annas Mother "You make me sick" at the funeral! " And recounting the encounter with some twisted kind of pride…. The Woman lost her Daughter, for Gods sake. I urge ANYONE truly interested in this case to watch episodes of The Anna Nicole Show. Howard at his best. Bonnie Stern is out partying with the incredibly wasted threesome of Anna, Stern, and Kimmie. The "sort of people" surrounding Anna becomes quite evident. Pretty low on the food chain. She was a sweet girl who deserved better.
Entertainment Tonight and The Insider knew how wasted Anna was. Pat O'Brian admitted so on Dr. Phil. They should take a long hard look in the mirror. On an episode of The Anna Nicole Show, Entertainment Tonight paid for a lavish shopping spree for Anna in return for an Interview. But they don't pay…Yeah…Right…I forgot
RITA COSBY was most likely booted out because she doesn't report the news in the "true" light!
I've seen her in action myself. She bashes other stations for doing the same thing she does on a daily basis.. tisk tisk.
She only reports what sounds good, nothing more and it most certainly isn't the truth.

Rita always tells the truth in her stories like it or not…Howard can only see one thing in any of this MONEY so he will never have to go to work…

Penny OKane I have to totally agree with you,Bonnie Stern made me sick with her bull crap both at the funeral then at the house and bragged about it…Vergie had lost both her daughter and her grandson for crying outloud Bonnie clearly needs some manners and ettic…Anyone ever teach her that two places you don't start trouble is a hospital and a church (which a funeral is the same thing)
Bonnie should have kept her mouth and her lack of manners out of it from the start…Howard and Anna never tied the knot and weren't married she should have stayed out of it
