Roger Ailes Misunderstands Simple Questions, Argues That Erin Burnett Doesn't Have As Much Long-Term Hotness As Maria Bartiromo

From WSJ (via Poytner):

Rebecca Dana asks Roger Ailes if there's anyone from CNBC he'd like to hire for the Fox Business Network. His reply: "I'm the one who put Maria Bartiromo on the air. She's a fine talent. This new woman that they're overusing because she's on now 15 hours a day, Erin Burnett, is a good talent. But she's gonna age. She'll only last another year, the way they're working her. …So, I hope, at some point she steps up and says, 'I need water; I need a little break here.'"

What we've learned…after the jump.

Fox news prex Roger Ailes apparently interprets an inquiry regarding whom he would like to hire for the Fox Business Network to mean "Please candidly assess the merit of CNBC's anchors, taking care to place far more emphasis on their overall physical attractiveness than on their qualifications, abilities or journalistic prowess."

Ultimately, Ailes thinks the Money Honey's career has far more longevity than that of her network nemesis, Erin Burnett (a.k.a. The Bank Skank) because Bartiromo is more likely to retain her looks throughout the years. [Ed: For the record, this also makes Bartiromo a far more desirable candidate for the role of trophy wife.]

No wonder those female Fox reporters are always so damn qualified attractive.
