Rosie O.'s Got Her New Show!
Barbara not too keen

So Rosie O'Donnell is getting that NBC variety show, even though it seemed impossible that this woman is still a ratings draw.

Starting next Wednesday, Rosie Live will air at 8 p.m., and is sure to include some fun guests. Not, though, any ladies of The View, who took their turns sharpening their claws against their former coworker today.

Said Walters on today's program:

There are some people who have done the show and then for years feel they have to dump on it… I resent it. If the shoe fits, lady, ladies, get on with your lives! We are not perfect. We are not always happy."

Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck agreed and Elisabeth singled out "one [year] more difficult than others".

Within seconds Walters was being told in her ear by the control room to "get on with it" and the subject was dropped.

You know, on the one hand, the stuff that happened between Rosie O'Donnell and Elisabeth Hasslebeck on The View does seem like two gigantic egos with no room left on stage. But on the other, between Rosie and Star Jones, doesn't it seem like that a show of all women is eventually going to end in an estrogen-laden meltdown, and if anyone should know and respect the anger of former cast members, it's Barbara Walters?

Just saying: if Babs really wanted to put the bad blood behind her, she would have congratulated Rosie on her NBC score and moved on. Instead, it became a whole tirade on backstabbing, and hell, isn't there enough cat fighting in the media right now without setting other bad examples of what women (or Keith Olbermann and Christ Matthews) can do to each other?

That dude is craaazy. I'll probably watch the beginning of it though, until the puppy drowning or whatever the acts will be : /

And didn't Barbara Walters write a book talking about how she was trying to break up marriages and ruin everybody's life? How is she even better than the big one who believe the 911 conspiracies? A pox on both of their houses! (houses better than anything i'll ever have : / i hate life)

I love Rosie and no matter how loud she can be, she does so much good out there for the kids…

Her blog is a site I visit almost on a daily basis because she can be quite inspirational in a cryptic sort of way. So I'm glad NBC took her and I can wait to see the show!

rosie is a wonderful woman, mother, wife and entertainer…she also says whatever she feels needs to be said…barbara is also wondergful…and she knew rosie had a strong personality when she asked her to be cohost/moderator…sometimes things like that do not go as planned…barbara should just "be the big one" and wish rosie well in her new endeavor…because that is what all of us rosie fans are doing…and we still all watch the view, too!

Her show will last about 30 seconds…and that's 30 seconds too long.
