If the best thing you can say about Rupert Murdoch is that he's not as bad as Sam Zell, well, give that man a halo! Visiting the D.C. bureau of the Wall Street Journal, Murdoch met with newsroom staffers to answer their questions and assure them he'd be giving the unit more funding and resources; Zell has simply told his Los Angeles Times D.C. staff he'll be cutting budgets and staff. Murdoch also promised the bureau there was no conservative agenda at play here, but that was pretty much lost on everyone once he started handing out Starbucks gift cards.
