No matter how you feel about Sarah Palin's treatment by the press during and after the electoral landscape, I would like to invite you to make heads or tails of this video, without the jaded lens of the media pundits talking over her or asking any tough questions about newspapers or NAFTA, and just…listen to her. Do her sentences ever end? Sometimes I think I'm crazy because she sounds like she's making sense, but then I realize she's just using and reusing the same prepositional phrase over and over, and never ending her statement.

Hmm, that's close it, but not quite the point of Palin. See, if she was completely just spitting out nouns and verbs with no sense of syntax then no one would listen to her. She'd be completely comparable to that poor beauty queen from South Carolina.
But Palin does strike a chord, and that chord resonates with people because she reinforces the same idea ad naseum. So to some people it sounds like idiot blather, but for a lot of people, very smart people on the right, it sounds like she is hitting the right notes, being a "straight talker" (the irony is not lost here), and speaking a language the people can understand.
Which, when you think about it, is terrifying.

Is that what we govern with Sarah? Our strong experiences?
And how do you "bring back change?" Isn't change what you DIDN'T have before?

I swear it is because corporate lingo has deadened the brains of Americans. We are so used to hearing important-sounding, meaningless phrases that we don't even notice them anymore.

What the hell does that mean? Who knows? I once wrote that kind of crap for a living, and my clients loved it. She spews the same type of hollow speeches, just filled with more awkward pauses.
