The details of Rosie O'Donnell's arrangement with The View are beginning to circulate and, while Fox 411's Roger Friedman does explain how the deal came to be – Barbara Walters asked Rosie about the gig after she screened Rosie's film on her gay family cruise line – we were hoping for some insight into why, in the end, execs OK'd Rosie's placement. Did she play the "I'm best friends with Barbara Walters" card?
Then came the "aha!" moment — we saw the little bit about Rosie's contract stipulating she cannot cut her hair. Because, you know, that would make her look all dyke-y. And we can't have that, especially not next to Star Jones when she goes on one of her "Oooooh, Al!" tangents.
With the Disney brass refusing to let Rosie chop her locks, we're left more confused. If they didn't bring on Rosie to attract The L Word's daytime viewership, surely they didn't expect her to bring in the Nobel laureates.
What the hell are you kids on?! It's bad enough we have to skim over your hideous spelling and grammar. Now you're making stuff up? Since when is Joy Behar "conservative"?
What is going on with Star? She ahs been acting very rude to Barbara Walter's and even th e gues. She is changed sooooooooo much in the past year, that I do not car to watch the show most of the time. I hope she checks herself, because I believe that she is becoming a negative figure to the show in a big way. I have even heard her correct MS. Walter's when it was not called for. That is her boss, and to do that on national t.v. was uncalled for. Barbara I hope there will be changes in this. Because it is clear to me, that Star does not want her job anymore! And that's my View!
Well, seeing as the execs told Star nearly two months ago that they were not going to renew her contract but still wanted her to stay until July, I guess she may have become a little testy. If it were me, I'd feel betrayed too. I think we'd all like to believe that we'd be "above" that type of thing but let's face it, we're all only human. Lastly, now that we know Star is leaving the show, I'd like to say that although I didn't agree with her a lot of the time, I will miss her on the show. She's done an absolutely amazing job of pulling off the weight and I wish her all of the best for the future!!
I would rather have Rosie with her honesty about what she is rather than Star who is a beard for Al. When is she going to stop lying? It makes her look like a joke.
