After Katie Couric's hullabaloo of a goodbye the other day, we were sorting wondering how The View was going to compete when it came to saying goodbye to their head mistress?
Well, it won't be all hugs and slow-mo kisses when the new Today host leaves her round table that's for sure. Even though people who actually watch this shit show will have to suffer through shots of her family and hugs from Elizabeth Hasselbeck, they plan on getting their last chance jabs in.
"'The View is an irreverent show, and we won't be changing that for Meredith's final day. No warm and fuzzy sendoff [until the final moments, anyway]. We plan to roast her like a Cornish hen," said executive producer Bill Geddie.
Damn it! Why does Star Jones have to be all "rex" now? This would have been the perfect "and then Star will eat her" joke.

I watched Meredith's send off & was surprised Star didn't get up & roast her like Joy or BW. Instead, they brought Mario Cantone to do the jokes. Why wasn't Star allowed to partake in the roast? She's been there since the beginning & it didn't seem fair. All Star got to say was a few measly words and part of the toast.
Yes, Barbara Walters is pushing her out, yes, her agent is shopping her resume around and yes, there are no takers at the moment, but for chrissakes, BW should have let [i]everyone [/i] participate in the roast. BW must really hate Star to ban her from doing it.
As for Hasselbeck, she's such a young, stupid, embarrassing Republican, she should go next. Bring back Lisa or even Debbie. Hasselbeck is such a racist & so bloody uneducated about everything in the world. However, she is a half decent graphic designer. When she was asked to shop for wedding dresses, she actually did a decent sketch of a dress. But her talent & her mouth shouldn't be together.
When they have her ask questions, they're never in depth.
She awkward & clumsy in her style of asking. She's learning on the job & I hate that. Why doesn't she get to some communication school & take some classes instead of learning on the job! She should read more & stay away from politics and asking awkward questions.
