Yesterday we told you about some mildly high-profile exits this week at Star. Publicist Public relations coordinator Nekiesha Walker tired of being Bonnie Fuller's bitch, and put in her two weeks. Also making for the door: New York bureau chief David Caplan. What follows is his farewell letter, where he announces the new gig he's taking that he wouldn't tell his AMI bosses about. Hint: He's headed to VH1, where he'll join Web 2.0!

Hi,
Just a quick note that I'm no longer with Star, so I'm no longer reachable at that email address and office telephone number.
I'm psyched to share that I'll soon be joining VH1 as senior correspondent, contributing to an incredible soon-to-debut entertainment and celebrity news and gossip Web site, as well as the Best Week Ever's news and blog site BestWeekEver.TV and other VH1 properties, spanning the media spectrum. I'm also an entertainment contributor for XM Satellite Radio, and continue to be a contributor for various TV programs.
So, I'll still be in the market for hot, dishy news items, gossip items, sightings, party & event coverage, fashion/beauty-celeb items, celeb books, celeb-endorsed products/items, nightlife and restaurant items — all of which will have a home on VH1, an incredible platform that will directly target millions of young, hip and celeb-obssessed consumers of your info — so I'll continue to work with everyone in a similar capacity. And I cannot stress how much fun we'll have doing so.
I'll touch base again when I land there very shortly, but please continue to send along info, and I'm very excited to continue working with everyone and taking it to the next level..Have a great weekend! D
