We have recently been seeing previews for the new movie World Trade Center popping up on our TV sets. So far, they've been much easier to handle than United 93, if only for the fact that the film doesn't come off as some sort of action hero movie.
But before the public is exposed to this re-telling of the plight of rescue workers on September 11, 2001, NYPD and FDNY have been invited to screen the film first. Producers think it is important to offer this option (of course only if those rescue workers feel comfortable with the experience). Others disagree, however, warning that viewing this film could cause some issues.
But the union representing Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police officers wants ground zero rescue workers to be aware that watching the movie could cause post-traumatic stress disorder. Symptoms of the condition include depression, mood swings and panic attacks.
And why don't they put these warnings on the TV screen every time Ann Coulter speaks?
