Sex Offenders Not Just for Dateline Anymore

Sunday's New York Times Magazine cover story will argue the laws surrounding sex offenders, such as the requirement that they register in a publicly accessible database, are too harsh — especially for those who are mere teens when convicted. On Monday, expect Jack Shafer to poke holes.

They need to do more! First off, I like the idea that people can look up sex offenders to see who is registered in their area. The public registration is a must! I would like to see them ALL be monitored for the rest of their lives at all times, with an ankle bracelet. Whether they were teens when they committed their crime or adults, crimes against children should be considered a crime treated the same as murder. Sex offenders need to be locked up, castrated and never again have any contact with the human race. Another good idea is to take these sex offenders and ship them out to an island away from children! They are the worst scum of the earth!
