Har har har! A Fashionista reader claims they can tell that the Louis Vuitton purse Sarah Palin's youngest daughter, Piper, is carrying here is a fake.
This raises two questions:
1. Who's the bigger loser—the person who buys the fake purse or the person who can spot the fake purse from miles away? and 2. DID THESE PEOPLE BUY FAKE SHIT WITH THAT $150,000?!?!?!?!??!

Isn't LV crazy vigilant about counterfitting? So there are one of two scenarios here: 1) Sarah Palin bought her six-year-old a purse that costs more than Joe the Plumber takes home in a week (OK, maybe not, but you get my point); or 2) She's fine with goods that illegally rip off LVMH's trademark. Hmm…
I literally saw her outside the McDonalds on Canal St. on 9/11 buying that bag from an African guy. She bartered that thing to $40.

Either you approve of purchasing illegal goods (against the law), or you have no barriers concerning what is appropriate for your child's age.

The biggest issue here is that purse is fake. The Palin team is supporting the counterfeit industry — the same one President Bush is trying to end. Those purses/handbags/sunglasses etc. are made in decrepit conditions that support child labor. Money from those sales very often goes to support terrorists or the drug trade. For a politician — especially one who had a $150,000 clothing allowance — buying counterfeit goods is a huge no-no. Who cares if it is more representative of "Joe the plumber"! Fake purses support ideals the U.S. is against! Including fabulousness.
