Danny Fields believes his reputation is worth $100 million, which seems like a lot for someone who hasn't had a reputation since the 80s.
The manager of bands such as the Ramones and Iggy Pop was quoted in Out’s 70s issue saying:
The '70s was sure a lot of fun, but I was sure a lot of young. Boy, if you didn't get laid, then it was your own fault. I don't remember ever being inhibited by saying 'I'm the manager of the band. If you want to meet them, come to my hotel room and sleep with me, and I'll introduce you to them in the morning.
Fields denies ever saying that and is suing Out for $365,000 in actual damages plus $100 million in punitive damages. Out's EIC Aaron Hicklin interviewed him, but can’t find the tape.
The magazine offered Fields a few thousand dollars and 75 words to defend himself in an upcoming issue. But a paragraph is not enough for Fields who says, "My reputation is ruined because Out has called me virtually a sexual predator. It is atrocious."
In conclusion: The 70s, a lot of fun; losing the tape of $100 million interview, not so much.

My "reputation," which I had no idea lasted into the 80's, is, I think, gone way over your "head."
That photograph, by the way, which you used illegally, by the way, is now hanging in a show in Hong Kong. Before that it was in Los Angeles, Tokyo, London and Paris. Not bad, considering the photographer, me, has not had a reputation since the 1980's. You will be hearing from my lawyers about copyright infringement. In conclusion: don't use pictures illegally, and without photo credit.
