Someone Please Explain The Confusing Trailer for Repo: The Genetic Opera
Gah, what?

Listen, kids these days are all about weird movies. Charlie Kaufman is the man, even though there is some trepidation for Synecdoche, New York.

But no matter how many times we go over this trailer for Repo: The Genetic Opera, starring Anthony Stewart Head (better known as Giles from Buffy), Paul Sorvino, Sarah Brightman, and Paris Frickin' Hilton, it still doesn't add up.

Someone please, please explain this trailer, after the jump:

No, wait, slow down. Is this like Moulin Rouge! meets Rocky Horror directed by one of the eighty million dudes that worked on Saw?

Considering the only other movie a Saw director ever put out was Death Sentence, which is widely considered to be the worst movie of all time, you probably shouldn't keep the bar too high for this NIN rip-off.

But I will, because musicals are the best, and Anthony Head is a dreamboat.

No. 1 · Darren is not James

He didn't direct Death Sentence - do your research

The post DOES say "only other movie a Saw director" and not "the Saw director". James Wan was the director for the first Saw. Darren Lynn Bousman was the director for the rest, and is the director of Repo! The Genetic Opera.

The movie is going to FANTASTIC, not only because it's director, Darren is an amazing director, but because it's a freaking ROCK OPERA, with awe-inspiring music and and actors with terrific voices. Not to mention the crazy, super original story which will capture the hearts of anyone who sees it. I'm looking forward to this, can you tell? XD
