Stallone manages to pinch out a 4th issue of Sly

Sly magazine

Back in August, it was rumored that American Media Inc. was trying to unload Sylvester Stallone's ode to the mid-life crisis, Sly. Now it turns out AMI chief David Pecker OK'd a fourth issue of the magazine, guaranteeing Met-Rx will have another glossy to run ads in and Stallone won't be whining to a gossip outlet this week.

After crunching the numbers from the test, the company has elected to publish a fourth issue, to be dated December/January. The magazine's ad hoc editorial team of freelancers and Men's Fitness staffers, which had been placed on hiatus, has resumed work on the title. "It's nice to have an alternative magazine that comes from someone's voice, someone's perspective," said editor in chief Neal Boulton.

Yes, an "alternative" magazine. You know the type: Those magazines operated by major publishers and spearheaded by a former Hollywood A-lister targeting middle aged men — because nobody else is.
