Last night Star Jones began her aggressive defense on Larry King Live, where her voice suddenly dropped from screaming product pusher into whispy victim. In between explaining how hard it is to go to work for two months knowing you're not going to be asked back (she says she found out on April 21, through her agent, that ABC didn't want her back) and denying she was ever paid or given free merch for on-air product plugs ("Under no circumstances"), Star also delved into her dramatic weight loss. And by "delved" we mean hyped up the importance of privacy – "You're talking my health, Larry. You're not talking my shoes." – as reason not to explain the "medical" attention she received to "save" her life. By watching the above clip, we by no means expect your opinion of Star to change. For us, however, it's her her closing quote of this conversation that'll resonate the longest: "Gosh, Larry, you ask the tough questions." Indeed, Star. Indeed he does.
(And on an interesting programming note, CNN is re-airing last night's Larry King at 11am today — which means it's facing off against, you guessed it, The View. Which was previously recorded. And features Star Jones.)
the racism of this publication is so obvious it is even stupid why you don't come out of the closet big time!
