I am very unhappy and concerned with Star JOnes leaving The View. Barbara Walter's knew when "she" hired ROsie that she was pushing Star out. WHile I don't always agree with Star, I find her intellegence is needed to balance out The View. Barbara Walters says that Star's was not popular with the viewers, I find that difficult to beleive BUT if we have a real popularity contest going on here, let me vote the person that MOST needs to be replaced, that person is the young woman that was allowed to speak as a main speaker at the Republican convention. Let her tell it, she knows everything ande certainly has an opinion about thing far outside of her years of experience and educational limits. I vote that she leave the View. ALso Barbara you have confirmed what they say about women…the cat fight is on. You would never have a man that has worked with another man, dog him out the way you have dogged Star. I have a Ph.D. as well as a Masters degree in journalism from the Univerisyt of Illinois. I am outraged that Star Jones has been forced out of her job because she is too bright for a black woman and you would replace her with Rosie, please!!!

I have had the opportunity to watch The View daily since June 1st. I have been bothered many days by Star's appearance because, yes, she has lost weight, but she did not glow like she should have or had, large or small. Those were crying eyes that had been dried, but still hurt.

Barbara Walters–shame on you. I will never believe 100% another word you share on The View or any news broadcast. The truth is what it is and shouldn't be withheld from the public, since you are in a business that is supported by the public.

People, people, people……………get it straight, this isn't really about racism (although there may be some elements in there). Take a look at the BIG PICTURE, it's office politics and the BOTTOM LINE…………ratings and MONEY!! As far as I'm conerned, I have no love lost for Star Jones…………….but I respect her intelligence and I have to give her her props where they're due. Star upped one on Barbra and the network, she basically BEAT THEM TO THE PUNCH. There's fault on both sides here, with Star it was in her attitude and as she admitted herself, "believing the hype". She didn't want to believe the fact that her rating were slipping and that people thought that the whole wedding fiascal was just TACKAY!
She was tooo pretentious and her comments were not realistic in relation to the world that MOST of us live in. On the other hand, the network AND BARBRA were pushing her home and if someone hadn't been leaking information for her and the media to hear, none of us would have known about any of this. The first real rumour that was leaked that set things off was that there was a stipulation in Rosie's contract that if she came on board, Star would NOT be sitting at that table! What it boils down to is that Barbra and the network were pushing her out, yet setting her up to say whatever she wanted in order to make themselves look innocent……but Star beat them to the punch. Having the legal mind that she does, she knew that she didn't have much of a leg to stand on by fighting them, so she did the next best thing in that industry………….draw attention and createCONTROVERSYby going to the directly to the media!!
