
In the case of firebrand leftist Keith Olbermann versus the inhumanly rich and powerful conservative Rupert Murdoch, the combatants have a history that extends well beyond Olbermann's almost nightly attacks on Murdoch from his pulpit on MSNBC. A history that belies Olbermann's constant criticism of the man behind the ugly, ugly Fox News channel and one that deserves to be addressed.

But rather than drinking away their worries or resorting to painful, alcohol-fueled karaoke fests to alleviate their pent-up aggression, Times staffers apparently favor a classic, tried and true remedy: awkward girl-on-girl grown woman-on-grown woman physical assault.
As the story goes, things were starting to heat up at NYT headquarters last Friday when fashion editor Anita LeClerc ("the aggressor!" and deputy editor Mary Ann Giordano ("the victim!") apparently butted heads in some sort of turf war. And what started out as a war of words quickly turned physical after Giordano ("a nice woman [who] has candy at her desk!") attempted to reconcile with the shove-happy LeClerc. Suddenly, LeClerc reportedly snapped, and a loud and inappropriate verbal dispute quickly turned into a loud and inappropriate shoving match, culminating in a a lingerie pillow-fight "trip" to referee/top editor Trip Gabriel's office!
