At Least Someone Still Has a Holiday Heart
No foreclosures on Christmas

Florida governor Charlie Crist is hoping to piggieback on Arnold Schwarzenegger's 90-day ban on home foreclosures during the holiday months. Because a lot of people are having a shitty time of it this year, losing their jobs so close to the holiday and all, it would be nice if they weren't kicked out of their house until after the new year.

Says Crist about the foreclosure moratorium:

We've been talking about that for several days — even longer, actually. I think it would be a good thing to be able to do," he replied. "I want to be able to work with the banking industry and do it in a way that is not harmful to them, because we want them to continue to succeed, to continue to lend money, but we want to stop the foreclosures — especially during the holidays."

Which is all well and good for PR and such, but does the maybe-outted Florida governor even have the ability to stop the banks from closing in on people's homes? We're not talking about giving a pardon on the death penalty here…we're talking about the banks.

Chuck Todd Maybe-Outs Gov. Charlie Crist
Even politicians needs beards

While Joe Lieberman is arguably not a wise VP pick for John McCain, choosing the Connecticut senator would have on effect on politics: Florida's Gov. Charlie Crist could get un-engaged.

That's the theory Chuck Todd floated today, sort-of-but-not-entirely outing Crist — who's widely suspected to be gay — while discussing McCain's potential running mates and the idea there's a "glass ceiling" for the unmarried.

SCARBOROUGH: Did he get married? I thought he was engaged. Is he engaged or did he get married?

TODD: After Friday the engagement might be off if he’s not the running mate., right? … I don’t know!

EVERYONE ELSE: *awkward!*
