Ann Coulter relaunched her campaign against John Edwards today.

You’ll recall that the right-wing authoress took a shot at Edwards last year, when she called the politico a “faggot.” Well, Coulter has done it again, this time calling him “faggy” while discussing his alleged affair. Said Coulter:

The gay media watchdogs over at GLAAD have been watching an upcoming episode of FX’s 30 Days - and they don’t like what they see.

A forthcoming episode of the series, which transplants people into new lives for a month, features an anti-gay woman who trade places with a child-rearing lesbian. Cue dramatic music…

The GLAAD Media Awards may be causing some residual drama.

Cable channel Bravo paid an unspecified sum to air the entire event next month, but a reader speculated that queer-centric Logo, an MTV property, decided to play a little game of “gotcha” with the awards.

Ugly Betty actress Becki Newton no doubt enjoyed herself at last night’s GLAAD Media Awards. Newton and her castmates, including the ever-adorable Michael Urie, took home the prize for outstanding comedy series, while fellow ABC show, Brothers & Sisters, won in the drama category.

Ms. Jackson if you’re nasty accepted the Vanguard Award, and got a little friendly with presenter Ellen DeGeneres. Kathy Griffin won for My Life On The D-List, and shared the award with her lovely mother, just like a gay man!

The reason Anderson Cooper wasn't able to make it to Monday night's GLAAD Awards to pick up his trophy? He was having surgery to remove a small bit of skin cancer from under his left eye. Way to schedule that conflict! (But no, seriously: Glad you're getting better, Andy.)

Last night, some homos got some awards. And no, it wasn't the Tonys. And no, Anderson Cooper wasn't there. [Queerty]

janiceletter.jpg Janice Min’s got her mind on your fingers - as in she wants them crossed. The Us Weekly EIC can barely contain her excitement that her magazine has been nominated that GLAAD nominated her tab-rag for their gay-friendly coverage. She’s so thrilled, in fact, that she squeals all about it in this week’s editor’s letter.

ATONEMENT While the New York Post might not be willing to trade in catchy-yet-offensive headlines anytime soon, the Daily News is taking seriously criticism of its bigoted boldface. After GLAAD informed them the word "tranny" might be a touch insulting, Mort Zuckerman's rag agreed to change its headline. [Queerty]

After being outsmarted by a comedian and out danced by a football player, Tucker Carlson has nothing to do but cause trouble on MSNBC. Blame Jon Stewart.

Wearing a normal tie and repeating “I’m not gay” about a dozen times, Tucker Carlson retells his own Larry Craig story to Dan Abrams and Joe Scarborough:

Huh? You and a friend beat up someone up in a DC bathroom? That doesn't sound like a story you want to stick with.

Tucker's new version after the jump.

Covering GLAAD's Network Responsibility Index – where TV networks are scored on how well and how often they depict GLBTs – the Daily News wastes no time attacking News Corp.-owned Fox for landing at the bottom of the list. [NYDN]

uglybettynephew.jpg Congrats to Disney's broadcast network for earning the top spot on GLAAD's first-ever (!) "GLAAD Network Responsibility Index," which measures how TV shows depict the Gs, Ls, Bs, and Ts. Or, more precisely: the "quantity, quality and diversity of images." Surely Ugly Betty paved ABC's way, with its featuring the gay assistant, gay nephew, tranny boss, and Vanessa Williams. Meanwhile, Fox took last place, but mostly because The Simpsons is an equal-opportunity offender. [Variety]

GLAAD takes part in Grey's star's PR campaign

Need something to call "absolutely ridiculous" today? Queerty brings the good news, via TMZ, that GLAAD has filmed Isaiah Washington doing a PSA about hate speech. Because he's an expert. And, also, he needs to make amends with the gays.

Quick suggestion: This absolutely ridiculous PSA is not the way to do it.
