Guns N' Roses Newest Album Is Parody-Levels Sad

It's pretty sad that the biggest hype Axl Rose could get for Guns N' Roses first album in 17 years was overseas in China, where they've blocked the album, Chinese Democracy, from being downloaded off the Internet. And even that's a little bit of a bummer-versy, because according to Chinese officials, they have no idea what the album even is, or why it's blocked on their nation's WiFi.

"This is the first time we've heard about it," a ministry spokeswoman said, when asked about the album and reports that it had been banned in China.

"I don't know if they're banned or not," she said. "It might be a rumour."

And how is the album doing in the states? Best Buy has an exclusive sell contract with the album, but is not really hyping the comeback that much (though it's #1 on iTunes right now).

Sad news for the 46-year old Rose, who's learning the hard way that you can't always go home again. Although there is at least one awesome GNR fan left out there, waiting in front of Best Buy for the store to open, and of course he was interviewed by MTV.
