The <em>Post</em> Delivers Unbeatable Headline, Plus Highlights Of The Sharpton/McGuirk 'Debate'

In case you "forgot" to set your DVR for the battle of the wits shameless yelling between Al "Reactionary" Sharpton and Bernard "I Came Up With The 'Nappy-Headed Ho's Bit" McGuirk, the NYP breaks it down for you!

The headline? "REV. AL AND IMUS GUY IN HO-DOWN." And, from the sound of it, it was a real doozy!

The Rev. Al Sharpton and fired shock-jock Don Imus' longtime producer, Bernard McGuirk, faced off on Fox News Channel last night in a fiery "debate."

"Let's get ready to box on Fox!" crowed McGuirk, as the two combatants sat down for round one of the segment.

As McGuirk, who was canned along with Imus after the "nappy-headed hos" incident last month, spent most of the Hannity & Colmes show charging Sharpton with hypocrisy while Sharpton spent most of the time fighting back.

And, lest you think the verbal sparring match dropped off towards the end, the Post quickly assures us that wasn't the case, noting that "[a]t one point it seemed Sharpton might even leave the set after being called a 'crude, humorless opportunist' by McGuirk."

Oh, SNAP! The conclusion (and sporadically available video excerpt) after the jump!

In today's mostly Hannity & Colmes edition of Cable Quotables, Intern Wendy imagines the horror of a world without fat jokes, sympathizes with Bill O'Reilly in this time of loss and questions whether or not Justin Timberlake is really bringing SexyBack.

• “Whenever we are short an item, we go to the Rosie file. It’s a sure thing for us. Although I do acknowledge the overkill.” Bill O’Reilly, echoing our sentiments on Rosie O’Donnell's "voluntary" exit from The View, The O’Reilly Factor, April 23

• “Do we have to fire everybody who makes any kind of racial comment?” Alan Colmes, not getting this equality thing, Hannity and Colmes, April 23

• “Anyone can make fun of me. I don’t care.” Sean Hannity, accepting the inevitable, Hannity and Colmes, April 23

• “If we’re overweight, we can’t make fun of overweight people, we can’t make fun of people that are losing their hair. We can’t make fun — no more blond jokes, no more Irish jokes, no more jokes about anybody.” Sean Hannity, realizing all his one-liners are gone, Hannity and Colmes, April 23

• “Look at him. Look, he‘s skinny. He‘s scrawny. He can‘t grow a [beard]. I mean, he‘s a little weasel. This is sexy in 2007?” Joe Scarborough, who doesn’t think Justin Timberlake is bringing "SexyBack," Scarborough Country, April 23

Don Imus' Former Producer, Bernard <s>McJerk</s> McGuirk On Why Everyone (Except Imus And McGuirk!) Is An Asshole

Anyone see last night's Hannity and Colmes? (Haha, we're just kidding, of course you did!)

Anyhow, since we know you never miss an episode, we're (almost) certain you all were glued to your tv screens yesterday, when Bernard McGuirk, Don Imus' former—and recently ousted—producer, stopped in to maturely discuss his so-called "wrongful termination." And by that, of course, we mean "bitch out everyone he could think of over the totally unfair, overhyped debacle that culminated in his (unjust!) termination."

Among the highlights: McGuirk's reaction to Imus' controversial remark (McGuirk reveals he "didn't get the memo" that the phrase 'nappy-headed hos' had reached the level of the n-word in offensiveness") and his views on the 'PC police' ("it's a horrible thing for this country where people can't poke fun at each other…without fear of being hammered by the PC police or lose your livelihood over it.")

Um, not that he's speaking from personal experience or anything. (Awkward!) But our fave part had to be this line, where McGuirk bitches out his equally crazy nemesis, Al Sharpton.
