<i>Playgirl</i>'s Editor Insists She Didn't Run a Gay Skin Rag

Colleen Kane spent many years editing Playgirl, and she’s taking the penis-loving magazine’s folding very hard. And deep - especially the lingering tension between the magazine’s lady-centric mission and gay-tinged image:

The 'Straight Girl' Skin Rag that Cost Marcus Patrick His Career Is Closing
Playgirl played out

Playgirl magazine is folding, and will continue as a web-only operation. Because porn and the Internet is the most successful marriage ever. Though, that Playgirl's Wikipedia page has not yet been updated with this information can't be a good sign for a brand hoping to, uh, exist entirely online.

Kevin Talley is still hot with clothes on

Where do defunct Playgirl coverboys go after they find God and their clothes? Over to Sophisticated Living, of course.

Ok, fine — the photo came from the PR desk of Kevin Talley himself. But we have to admit, nothing says "sexy suit and tie sophisticado" like a guy who, just last month, was straddling a dining room chair in the buff.

Now if only Andrew Essex had thought of that, Absolute may have faced a different fate.

Playgirl cover boy pulls out &mdash; but not the way you wanted him to

Why do super-hot half-naked guys have to suddenly find God?

Kevin Talley (our new computer screen wallpaper) was scheduled to appear on the cover of Playgirl, to the delight of, well, everyone. After appearing in a November feature, readers were asked to vote for their fave boy in the buff, and Talley won by a landslide.

On Dec. 15, Talley received an e-mail from Playgirl editor in chief Jill Sieracki. "Hi Kevin. Wanted to contact you and tell you congratulations! You've been voted Playgirl's Man of the Year!" she wrote.

And how did our new imaginary boyfriend respond? He asked "what would Jesus do?" (Seriously, he really asked himself that.) And now, he will not be on the cover at all. So, Kanye West, where were you on that one?

Jiblets: Playgirl's ladies love them some love handles

• MTV continues its international Trippin' by following Angelina Jolie around Africa for an episode of Diary.

Playgirl's latest sex poll reveals 42 percent of women appreciate a guy with love handles and nearly half give a thumbs up to chest hair.

• The horse teeth veneers were one thing, but now Hilary Duff is sporting black hair. A wig, we're assuming, but it's not doing much to keep her from looking 35.

Eminem pulled the plug on his European Anger Management tour, citing exhaustion. You know, the same health problem we all suffer so often.

• Singer Marc Cohn's alleged assailant, Joseph Yacteen, has been charged with first-degree attempted murder after the August 7 shooting of Elizabeth Vargas' husband left him lucky to be alive.

• The London opera Jerry Springer might not make its nationwide tour after the Arts Council England cut its funding. Of course that had nothing to do with Christian groups protesting the show's depiction of Jesus, God and Mary as talk show guests.

• Power Rangers child actor Skylar Deleon is being charged, along with his wife Jennifer Henderson Deleon, with the yacht murder of a wealthy California couple.

• We'd hate ourselves if we didn't remind you that we've got Jude Law's penis pics for your gazing pleasure.
