Who deserves an effigy more than Kate Moss?

Approximately 3 million dollars worth of shiny gold was melted to created Siren, the memorial statue to Kate Moss that was unveiled today in Nereid Gallery of the British Museum. The product of Mark Quinn, the statue is his second tribute to Moss, and probably weighs 100x more than the waifish model herself.

As though flying in the face of economic meltdown, the statue is reportedly the largest of its kind since the ancient Egyptians. Although Siren will be the biggest and most expensive, there are a number of weirder golden calves popping up recently:
