So Martin Crandall, the bass player from the Shins, was arrested for domestic violence against ex-GF and former America’s Next Top Model contestant Elyse Sewell. But in a twist that left us wishing the cameras were there, Sewell was also arrested for domestic violence on Crandall, who bit the bass player in what she claimed was self-defense.

As we remember, Elyse was the “smart one” from cycle one. But we still find it depressing that even emo musicians live up to the rocker stereotype of having unstable relationships with beautiful people.

• Production on Janet Jackson's new album is almost complete but the first single probably won't drop until February. Hopefully that'll be enough time for Janet to get back into "wardrobe malfunction" shape. [Billboard]
