Why Does The Game Always Look Like He Wants to Kill Himself?

Plenty of celebrities have their "thing" when it comes to appearing on (on in) magazines. Marc Jacobs' thing, for instance, is getting photographed without many clothes on. Blake Lively's thing is appearing with her hair in disarray. Rapper The Game's thing? Posing like he's going to kill himself.

Source Editor Blanks Takes Up His Favorite Pastime

Former Source editor David Blanks is at it again. We are just learning today that Banks was, once again, thrown behind bars for allegedly assaulting three complete strangers in Harlem.

Cops say Blanks knocked down a man on West 125th Street, then pushed a 36-year-old woman to the ground and punched her, breaking her arm. He strolled two blocks away and hit another man before finally being arrested.

The Source fired Blanks in January after holding the EIC spot for just a few short months. And, if you remember, back in May, Blanks had a similar incident in Harlem, for which he served six months in jail for.

See? This is exactly why Hearst never hires anyone who lives about 96th St.

EDITOR'S A ONE-MAN CRIME WAVE [Page Six]

We Found Somebody Crazier Than Cindy Adams

David Blanks, a former editor at The Source, was sentenced to a term of six months in jail yesterday, on "charges that he clonked two strangers in the head with a red satchel filled with gravel." (We just couldn't say it better.)

The incident occurred in Harlem in January of this year at 125th Street near Third Avenue.

"… he started swinging his satchel for no apparent reason. He hit two men in the head, causing them "substantial pain," court documents alleged.

This is the same guy who thinks graffiti can be done with a black marker, and wrote on the door of a Jehovah's Witness church with it. He also used a quarter to scratch the word "DECEPTZ" into a bench. Whoa, bad ass.

We know you are just dying to hear the best part.

Asked last year why he vandalized the church, Blanks said of the Jehovah's Witnesses, "They mentally molested me."

Best crazy reason to do something ever. That is even better than Howie Mandel's excuse for loading up on swag. Ahhh, sigh. The Source will always be there to brighten up any day.

Media Blitz: Domino brings it home

• There's no such thing as sexual harrassment in the media. It's part of a man's creative process. [MSNBC]

• Congrats to Domino — but try not to get too excited. You know what happened to the last shelter mag that won launch of the year. [MIN]

• Everybody calm down. Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams will still have access to themselves on the local big screen. [Curbed]

• We really couldn't help but laugh out loud when we heard that The Source's March 7 issue will run a banner across the cover that reads, "Now 100% Benzino Free!" [NYP]

• So, wait. Is giving Dick Cheney access to guns a good idea? [LAT]
