No media professor wants to teach those boring courses on reporting, editing, and fact-checking. Especially at Tufts, where you know those students got hit with the snoozy stick. That's why Neal Shapiro, who just left his super cushy corporate job as President of NBC News for a life of academia at his former U, chose to teach "News from the Inside Out."

The course claims to be filled with super exciting journalistic and media questions like: "why does everyone report on the same boring crap?" and "why do consumers read blogs instead of buying the newspaper?"

Because the class is actually in the "Media and Communications Department" we're sure that these kids will learn nothing about source protection or journalistic ethics. That way, in just four years, they'll be ripe for the pickin' over at the New York Times.
