"WNYC Public Radio, New York magazine, Viacom, CBS Radio, and movie mogul Harvey Weinstein’s company have recently taken office space in Hudson Square, joining Community Media L.L.C., publishers of Downtown Express, The Villager, Chelsea Now, Gay City News and Thrive NYC." [DE]

Jiblets: Don Imus Actually Worth His Bigoted Salt

• The $50 million Imus franchise is in peril. Quick, someone get Michael Richards.

Inside Cable News v. Eat the Press: The biggest non-feud of the week.

• Larry Birkhead hasn't collected his $5 million tell-all story (complete with photoshoot!) because, well, he's an indecisive shit.

LAT finally gets around to covering its own backyard.

• MySpace and Photobucket – the photo sharing service you use to keep porn from your wife – are feuding.

• WNYC fete its new home at a breakfast this morning. Which meant A.M. hours. Which meant there wasn't a chance in hell of us hitting that.

WNYC Goes Where the Cool Kids Roam, and the Doormen Will Let in the Gays

Now that we are pretty much over Hearst's big move (though anyone who has pictures from inside Cosmo, please feel free to forward!) our interest over this latest media transfer piqued our interests a bit. Turns out (like we really know where radio folks are kept captive) WNYC has had its staffers stashed in a real shithole over on Centre Street, forced to work amongst a sea of coffee stains and dilapidation.

But those days are through. The radio program is moving on up to the chic streets of Varick and Vandam, merely a crosstown skip from the likes of Nerve, BlackBook, and Mediabistro. But the new space will have other perks, too: room for staffers, windows, cockroach free bathrooms, and seats that aren't broken. It's even (unlike their previously government run HQ) gay friendly.

And with less cumbersome security requirements than at the Municipal Building, should he agree to revisit, Carson Kressley of “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” would probably not be late for a radio interview — as he was a while back — because of panic that his large, spiked belt contained explosives.

Though, if there is anyone out there who wants to bomb their new digs, we know we can always count on the New York Times to show them how.
