Know what's more childish than a cable news battle? A cable news blog battle! When it comes to chronicling America's most visible pundits, executive rank shake ups, and how talent spends their clothing allowances, there are really only a few players in the game. Beside all-things-media blogs like Jossip, TV news types log on to TVNewser, Chickaboomer, Inside Cable News, and Johnny Dollar. And just like the networks they cover, sometimes these blogs start attacking each other in print.
Last week, the blog Chickaboomer (a news digest wrapped around the author's personal observations and hint of insider knowledge), in a post called "TV Loser," whacked TVNewser (an on-going listicle of industry minutia, offset by Q&As with industry players) for a Jesse Jackson scoop it claimed as its own. (Last Wednesday, TV Newser "broke" news about what the rest of Jackson's Barack Obama tape included; Chickaboomer claimed it reported the material the previous Friday.)
And today, as ICN (a run down of industry chatter and profile pullquotes) points out, Johnny Dollar (a link dump complemented by video and audio clips) subtly elbows TVNewser for information it "learned" about Neil Cavuto's multiple sclerosis surgery, which J$ (as the cool kids call it) mentioned earlier.
Welcome to High School Drama 2.0.

I don't think it's high school drama to complain that another blog is using your material w/o citing you as a source. I feel it is just a courtesy that one should extend when using someone else's material.
Johnny Dollar "breaks news" in the comment section and then whines about it when others publish the story on their main page without crediting him.
Look, TVN is lame. Once upon a time, it was a great blog but lately it's been a day late and yes, a dollar or three short (pun intended). And it has tried to claim scoops on information which first appeared on other blogs/sites.
