For those of you who have been tirelessly following the 2008 presidential race, here's some news that may surprise you. Apparently, the latest opinion polls have Hillary Clinton dominating the field at an incredible 15 percent of the total vote, which puts her well ahead everyone except undeclared candidate Al Gore.
If you think all this sounds pretty incredible, you're absolutely right. However, it makes far more sense once you realize the results have nothing do with party lines, political bias and voting records and everything to do with that ever-elusive "ick" factor.
And, as the NYP reports, Clinton is currently the #1 choice among Stepford Wives.
Hillary Clinton checks in as the "creepiest" candidate in the hunt for the White House, a new Forbes magazine online character poll has found.
A full 15 percent of Americans say Clinton gives them the creeps - including 20 percent of men, compared to 10 percent of females.
No other active candidate comes close to Clinton, who's taken hits from pundits for getting shrill on the speaking stump, making people's hairs stand on end.
Meanwhile, former Vice President Al Gore "ties Clinton in the creep-out column" at 15 percent, with Rudy Giuliani trailing at 8 percent, John "Haircut" Edwards raking in 6 percent and Mayor Bloomberg and Barack Obama tying with paltry 4 percent apiece.
When asked to comment, representatives from the Clinton, Gore, Giuliani, Edwards and Obama campaigns pointed would-be constituents towards this rather incriminating photo of Mitt Romney.
Mrs. Bill Clinton is creepy indeed. How wierd is it to have the wife of a philandering President run for the same office. I have nothing against the Clintons but can we give it a rest? I barf at the idea of having that circus back in the Whitehouse. I'd even prefer seeing the "Breck Girl" (John Edwards) in there over Shrill Hill.
