Overseas Vogue publications are getting more and more press recently, while Anna Wintour and her iconic American brand seem to be fading into the background. Of course, not all of this is positive press (*cough*Vogue India*cough*) but at least one name is making the rounds for a possible upset in the Conde Nast hiearchy:

Aliona Doletskaya, editor of Russian Vogue is a savvy Soviet ice-queen, known as much for her comparative literature background as her oblique references to the Byzantines during photo shoots.
Doletskayas' been raising the awareness of her work at Russian Vogue over here in the states by making a couple of high-profile appearances during NY's Fashion Week, leading some blogs to speculate of a possible takeover/cat-fight/subplot from Devil Wears Prada to ensue. Especially since Elle is now leading Vogue in ad sales. Wintour better sign Vogue up for some reality show, or start sleeping with one eye open for that Bolshevik borscht-eating bitch.
