After finding himself alongside Lakisha Jones in the bottom two this week, the frequently permed (and consistently tone-deaf ) Sanjaya Malakar was finally sent packing on last night's vindicating emotional American Idol result show.
And once more, the country is divided.
Some, like loudmouth judge Simon Cowell and everyone with even a glimmer of actual musical or singing ability, are thrilled by the development, while others (i.e. Sanjaya's legions of adoring/hearing-impaired tween fans, Sanjaya's family and Sanjaya) were plainly devastated by the news.
And while it remains to be seen what's next for Sanjaya, how much he's learned throughout this entire process and whether or not he'll go on, post-Idol, to grace the cover of Tiger Beat, one thing is for certain: we'll always have the pony-hawk.
ah man……….Some people just don't get. I agree with you that Sanjaya could sound craptastic performing along side the other contestants, but put him up there with most of us and Sanjaya would sound great…whatever…I am unashamed of my admiration for Sanjaya. I am a Fanjaya from day one! Rock on Sanjaya. It doesn't matter that you got sent home from AI. You're already an American Idol….and frankly, once Blake goes…I'm done with AI for this season….boring….same…same…same.

Lets be serious American Idol is a talent contest Sanjay can not sing, he is horrible, alot of good singers got sent home to early, so to the people who voted for me because he was so bad, get a life, this show is the only for talented people to actually be heard and get a chance,
Finally he's been booted out… Should've been booted out first day on top 24. He can sing, but he doesn't belong in AI. Lots of people who can sing a LOT BETTER than him got eliminated first. So, thank you so much for the good news. Personally, his sister is a lot better than him…. she can sing better, and she's very sexy. (hehehe) To lollilo and bradford, hahahaha. HE CANNOT SING!!!!!!!! No matter what u both say, can't change the fact that he can't sing very well. And Blake??? Blake is just unique in lil ways, but he ain't that good of a singer either. The tile belongs to one of these ladies, Jordin, Doolittle or Kiki. If they don't win, then there's something wrong with the voters. U need to vote for the people who can sing very well. Those 3 ladies i've mentioned deserve it.

I LOVE sanjaya and he can sing , and im NOT hearing impared i know what i am talking about when i say he knows how to sing. he is my idol no matter if the world hates him or not. i have been there from day one voting as many times i could for the whole 2 hours, and everyone needs to STOP bashing him so bad. i mean seriosly how would you feel if the world was talking crap about you all the time like that? well i have said what i needed to say.have a great day!!!!

It doesn't matter what he would sound like next to "Everyone else" , it matters what he sounds like next to Lakisha, and the other talented singers THERE. This is a singing competition, and he isn't competing againt anyone else but those in the competition. Get it? I agree with tito aga on the fact that we need to seriously vote for the BEST singer. These groups that are deciding to vote for the worst singer on American Idol, need to stop. You guys are crushing the dreams of people that are actually talented singers. I'm not neccessarily saying that Sanjaya can't sing, but he was definately worse than a lot of others in the competition. How would you (if you could sing like one of the ladies still in the competition) like to have been bested by Sanjaya? Of all people! That would be truly devastating…

I have been a Sanjaya Malakar fan since Day 1! Literally! He is one of my greatest inspirations. I cried so much when he was voted off…I cried more when Sanjaya started crying… I see so much potential and talent in him. I beleive Sanjaya has the gift of a beautiful voice and perserverence. He will always be my American Idol, I just hope he knows that he has inspired so many others and that he's loved by many.
