… is that they're shutting down both the magazine and the website, houseandgarden.com. Si Newhouse isn't even going to pretend to throw cash at the brand to keep its web identity alive, like some others foolishly tried.

Also, what's up with this promo? New subscribers are "guaranteed" to get the Gwyneth Paltrow November issue? Is that because it's either that, or the final December issue?

So what will current subscribers end up with from the Conde Nast portfolio to fulfill their orders? We're guessing some will end up with Architectural Digest, and others Bon Appétit. Or memberships to Flip.com. Whatever's easier to process.
